SID Notes: LED display wiring, board interconnect search yields awesome design engineering reference

Next week at Interconnection World you'll notice our coverage of the annual SID show and conference, put on by The Society for Information Display. It gets one (me, specifically) to really thinking about the interior wiring and board interconnect design of some of these amazing-video quality producing liquid crystal, LED, and OLED set ups. That idea led to me checking around on Google and, lo! An amazingly detailed and awesomely geeky electronic design and engineering reference site, www.play-hookey.com, with a specific page honing in on "The Seven Segment LED" ( -- a common site everywhere in the data center realm, by the way.) Yes, it's a glorious Internet folks; we must always remember to take full advantage of it.

Foxconn rides Apple's 4G coattails

According to Digitimes, Foxconn will ship 24 million units of Apple's latest iPhone 4G with shipments starting in June.

This follows hot on the heels of news that a "new, secret iPhone 4G prototype has been discovered in Vietnam."

The 4G wireless evolution rolls on...
